Program Grids

Students at NCA are required to double major as part of their program of study within the B.F.A. degree in Visual Communication.

This requires students to select one (1) of the nine (9) approved combination of double majors that we currently offer. The selection of double major occurs in the 3rd semester, with the actual start of all major-specific classes occurring at the 5 semester.Students are encouraged to research areas of interest throughout their program, and to select double majors that reflect their creative and artistic goals, both personal and professional.

The double major allows students to define an elective concentration in two complementary areas within the Visual Communication program, and encourages and facilitates the development of more diverse and advanced skill sets — and therefore increases the potential marketability of the student once they graduate and seek to engage in professional practice.
